In the past year, Migrante Melbourne held various activities including:
- Participation with campaign against the new Australia 's Industrial Relations System
- Highlight the plight of Vivian Solon, the Filipina-Australian wrongly deported to the Philippines
- Organised ‘Tipanan sa Melbourne', a social networking event for a cause
- Held various forums on the rights and welfare of Filipino-Australian migrants and workers
- Invited guest speakers to discuss Australia 's anti-terror law and the implications on its citizens
- Collaborated with the local councils to bring active health programs to Filipinos in the West
- Joined various rallies and activities against Iraq War
- Distributed information/pamphlets and held forums on Philippine absentee voting and dual citizenship
- Highlight the plight of Nestle Workers in the Philippines and farmers at Hacienda Luisita through various forums, statements and media interviews
- Host guest visits of various organizations in the Philippines eg, Rep Satur Ocampo, children from Bahay Tuluyan
- Provided briefings for Australian Volunteers International on cultural, social, economic and political situation in the Philippines
- Participated in various local committees and attended community meetings
- Exhibit at the annual Victorian Philippine Fiesta
